Come to the most magical ruins in Mexico, Chichen Itza, just at the northern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in the middle of the jungle was a Mayan city between the C. 750 and 1200 CE, with amazing architecture and sculptures with images of jaguars, eagles and feathered-serpents, Chichen Itza  was one of the greatest Mesoamerican cities and today is one of the most popular tourist sites in Mexico.

Architectural Highlights

• The Caracol, built prior to 800 CE, used as an astronomical observatory
• Pyramid of Kukulkan, is a 24 meters high and 59 wide with 9 levels, the Pyramid also known as the Castillo (Castle) was built before 1050 CE.
• Temple of the Warriors, is a 3 level pyramid with a doorway framed with feathered-serpents and 2 chambers at the top. it was  built between the 800 and 1050 CE.
• Great Ballcourt, measuring 146 x 36 meters is the largest in Mesoamerica, it was built between 1050 and 1200 CE. The lower parts of the walls and the ring on each wall are decorated with carvings of snakes. The dimensions of the court are so grand that it is hard to imagine how they played the ball game here.
• Tzompantle, two large platforms, one with a  skull shape, and the second Platform of the Eagles. It has a relief carvings depicting jaguars and eagles eagles eating human hearts. They where built 1050 – 1200 CE.

The tour starts in Cancun, than we fly through the Yucatan Peninsula being able to admire the beauty of the jungle, so make sure you have your camera ready to take some high-adventure pictures. As soon as we get to Chichen Itza a local guide will take you to the ruins and explain all about the Mayan history and architecture.

After 2 hours around the ruins, we will take you to swim in the  Ik Kil Cenote, is a deep natural pit, where you can swim and relax.

Lunch Time!, let us take you to the Mayan flavor and have a very special buffet with meals like, Cochinita Pibil, Panuchos, Papadzules, Poc Chuc, fresh  fruits, vegetables, drinks and more.  all for sure very Tasty.

After lunch, we start our way back to Cancun.
